Dear Reader …

This novel has been a work-in-progress for four years. It's not that I wasn't working on it. I edited. I put it before my writing group (a great, big 'Thank You' to those folks is in order. I literally couldn't have done it without them). I edited, again. Finally, after a year of hard labor, I felt ready.

I could give a lengthy (and boring) story about publishing, self-publishing and the woes that come with it. I already spent a year on it, so I'd rather move on.

I love to write. I don't care about making money with my writing. I want to tell stories, I want to entertain. I want to have that initial idea and run with it. And then I want to tell you about it. That's it.

The other thing that really holds my interest is designing this website, this blog. Playing around with it, writing code and seeing what it looks like. It is so much fun. I know other writers have blogged chapters of their books. I think that's a great idea. While I love books, the smell of the paper, the tactile sensation of turning the page, it's time we embrace technology. There's no reason to stick to just one way of doing things.

Having said all that, I'll be posting one chapter each week. Until the End.

Enjoy.

Cenote

When Muses Turn Murderous

Genre: Women's Fiction/Action

Take a ride with 47-year-old Constantina Morrigan from her home in Seattle where her husband of over 20 years leaves her, through the Badlands of South Dakota where she stumbles across an old acquaintance, Regina Praeda, that turns out to be her worst enemy.

In Minneapolis she meets Nina, a young woman with a horrendous past and a grim future. Be there when Constantina rescues Nina from the claws of a rapist and then stumbles into a much larger scheme of sex-trafficking, organized rape and murder. When Connie gets involved with the detective that is charged with the investigation into Nena’s abduction and rape, only to find out too late that he might be part of the problem. At the center of it all: Regina Praeda and her devious nephew, Mark.

Follow Constantina as she hunts Mark from Minnesota to New Orleans and then into Mexico. Where she confronts her demons in the jungles of the Yucatan Peninsula when she faces Mark and Regina.

Be there when she stares into the underworld, not knowing if she’ll see another day.

A cautionary word regarding violent and explicit content

This novel contains violence and graphic, sexually explicit scenes. This book is not meant for young readers.

This is a purely fictional book. Any resemblances to real events or real human beings is coincidental.
