Travel plans

Regina winced as Steve stomped and yelled at her. He hadn’t made a scene when he called her at the restaurant, but now he had no apprehension.

“Bardolino is around the corner, and he wasn’t going to run away.” She finally explained after Steve had calmed down.

He sighed, running his hand through his short hair. “Not the point.” He turned toward her. “I’m taking him, the car and the tech to St. Louis in three days. I will have him strip searched to make sure he’s not hiding anything else. We’ll continue to New Orleans and take one of our transports to the Yucatan Peninsula.”

He sighed again. “Feel free to take a trip to our house there. But don’t expect me to drop off your precious nephew. He’ll be continuing his ocean voyages with the toughest transport captain we have.”

Regina glanced at him. No point in talking about this now; he’s too pissed off. Maybe in a day or two, maybe if I can give him an alternative, he’ll change his mind.
